Description: I bought this NOS Norton Python guitar body on Ebay and then went to work on building the rest of this guitar.
The guitar has a hollowed aluminum neck with a black phenolic fingerboard and 19 stainless steel screw head marker dots. 24 Stewart-MacDonald #141 frets and a solid brass nut. 25 1/2" scale.
The body is made up of original Norton Python painted wood pieces. The top pieces are metallic red and the back pieces are satin black. These wooden piece are attached to an aluminum frame. This body had not been used on a guitar before I bought it.
This guitar weighs 9 pounds but the neck, with tuners weighs 2 and a half pounds. So, the guitar is NOT neck heavy at all.
Two pickups, a Dimarzio humbucker in the bridge position and a single Strat type pickup in the neck position. Strat type hardtail bridge. The strings go through the body. The strings go through on an angle instead of straigh down. This causes less stress as the strings go over the bridge hopefully reducing string breakage at the bridge.
BIN at $1,500, starting bid at $1,200
