One of machine heads on my Kramer 250G broke, and i would like to replace it. Problem is that no one in my town has expirience with aluminum guitars. I would be grateful for any useful information.

Hello,
I've got three Kramer aluminum neck guitars and each of them needed at least one machine head replaced when I bought them. You can get the replacement Schaller tuners (the m-6 kind I believe, regular size not mini) at a great price from the Stewart McDonald (or MacDonald) website. Roughly 60 bucks for a full set, just make sure you get the 3 left 3 right set and not the fender style. They come with the machine screws you need for the back (pointed wood screws have wider threads and they could strip the hole). All you need to switch it out is a screwdriver for the small machine screw on the back and an adjustable wrench for the nut on the front of the post. Replacing them yourself is very simple. Good Luck!
