|
|
Hello all. My son 16 year old son is interested in purchasing this used Kramer DMZ5000 bass at a local shop. Can any one give me an idea what we're getting into? This would be his 4th (of I'm sure many) bass and he likes how it sounds. For $350, what do you think?

My 450G had a sloppy neck joint. Make sure it's tight!
$350 does not sound like a bad price for a well constructed DMZ.

buy the bass if it's in decent shape. If your son hates it, you can sell it for a profit on ebay. You rarely see these things go for under $500 anymore. Some of the DMZ guitars are hitting $1000.

Well, he got it tonight and it does sound nice, with a variety of tones. One little nick below the knobs otherwise it looks like new. Very solid and tight. Thanks for your input. I hope he'll play it for a long time to come.

What a nice dad! I had to beg my parents for a $100 to buy an electric guitar when I was 16. I hope your son enjoys the bass.
