Hi folk
im thinking of buying a Kramer Artist 650G as im dying for an aliminuim guitar. was looking to get a obstuctures/tacitcal works but they dont seem to be replying to my emails.
The thing im worried about with this guitar it the neck diving when i let go of it. can anyone confirm this will happen. there one on ebay with a starting bid off £699. Or do people think i mite be better off saving my cash for an EGC or a bastin?
Cheers
Johnny

Hi - you should check out www.kramerforum.com and ask your question there (don't know what the board policy is on linking to other sites but it's all about love of aluminum right? - hope the mods don't mind). I have a 450B bass that neck dives, but with a good, wide strap it's not so bad. I would think the guitars might as well but if you ask that question there you will definitely get an answer.
My guitarist has an EGC and it balances perfectly with a standard 2 inch nylon strap. He loves it and gets a great variety of sounds out of it. Though expensive it was definitely worth it. I have an EGC bass myself and it neck dives but that's because the top horn is pretty short so I need to get a wider strap to help compensate.
Good luck!

I have a 650G project with the neck and body only. I was thinking about creating a new body from a template, but I just don't have the time at the moment. Definitely needs a refret. It has been gigged heavily.

I was planning on refretting it with stainless and having a go at it, but I ended up just selling the thing all together -- I have enough projects on the table. I decided if I start something up I want to buy an electrical guitar company 24 fret full aluminum neck and put it on a stainless steel layered body I have.
