Does anyone know any place online or otherwise that sells replacement necks for a Vaccaro X-Ray? I've been looking to no avail,and all trails keep bringing me back to this site, which I believe is my best chance at this point. (Great site by the way)

I would suggest a couple of things (hopefully others will have some ideas as well).
- Keep an on eBay for a 'deal' X-Ray and scrap it for parts

- I've been contacted by Henry Vaccaro in the past.. he was extremely friendly and approachable. I would suggest you contact them from the Vaccaro site, or from their mySpace page:

He might have a neck laying around for you.
- What is exactly wrong with your current neck? Maybe G. Bailey or K. Burkett or B. Bergeron might be able to help fix the problem or offer a suggestion on the neck.
Thanks for the compliment on the web site. Hoping we get a bit more traffic, but people are really starting to find the site.. which is great!!!! Have big plans down the road for the site.

Well, the problem is I don't have a neck. I bought the body as a project. I did attempt to get a hold of henry vaccaro via myspace and received the following message
"Hey Alex!
Thanks man for diggin' on one of my guitars....unfortunatley at this time we are not producing any guitars nor do we have any necks
BUUUUUUUUUUT I am working on new stuff and hopefully will be back out there by next year.....so hang in there and find me when we get back out and i'll be sure to hook you up!

So I guess that's not an option, at least for now.
Perhaps mr. Bailey can build me one.....

I think I would keep an eye on eBay to see if a neck pops up. That's really interesting about new Vaccaros coming out.. can't wait to see what he comes out with.

With stories and pictures of these "metal necks" with their headstocks broken off, are you sure you really want one?

Yeah I've heard different things regarding the Vaccaros, but at this point I'm just trying to get the thing up and running. Do you think it would be a worthy investment to just have one made from scratch, or would I be better off trying to find a replacement on Ebay?

I would just buy a whole guitar, take the neck and sell the body.
You could be waiting a long time for just a neck.
