Electrical :: Custom
The Electrical Custom is a wood and aluminum hybrid, which even though having a wooden body, still keeps with the all aluminum sound via the neck assembly being totally isolated from the body. Features ALCOA T6061 neck, Alder body, 3 ply pickguard, Gotoh bridge, Grover tuners, stainless steel frets and your choice of single coils or humbucker. These pickups are feature Alnico 5 steel based components, making a very bright and clear pickup. Available in a variety of custom body shapes.

Comments: #98. white, tele style body with a custom wider neck than most electricals. single coil pickups and custom bridge. i can't say enough about this guitar. it is everything i wanted it to be when i ordered it. kevin does fantastic work.
i feel kind of stupid giving anything that i am reviewing all 10's but this guitar is really that good.

Comments: I head heard some minor complaints about the frets and the zero radius but, the guitar is insanely playable. I was first considering a Rickenbacker as my guitar purchase and I am very pleased that I opted for Kevin instead. He's a really easy guy to work with and I can't express how much this guitar exceeded my expectations.

Comments: This is wonderful guitar built to last several lifetimes. The neck is thin and trim - very different from by Travis Bean 1000S. The sound from the single-coils is crisp and clean (when I want to it to be) and snarly when called for. An EGC is a great bargain in todays guitar market. This guitar blows away anything comparable from Fender or Gibson or PRS. This guitar has hand-wound alnico pick-ups - designed to be similar to the TB 500s the collectors are clamoring for. People have told me it is the most beautiful electric guitar they have ever seen.

The construction is superb, although I wish the aluminum plate on the back could be recessed into the body. I expect the EGC designs will evolve in the coming years and improvements will be made.

If you want a metal neck guitar, this is an excellent choice. Hats off to Kevin and EGC crew for producing a fine instrument.

  Style of Music: I try to sound like Polvo. But because of my limited ability I just sound like Kim Gordon on one of the songs where Thurston lets her play a note every eight seconds or something like that.

Comments: # 072 --Unless the maker dies in some kind of freak accident and these things start going for about 10 grand (no less) I will never sell this guitar. I guess I could develop a crack habit and not care about music anymore. But I would suck dick for crack before I would sell this instrument for it. It's easy to play. Sounds better than any other guitar that I have been in the room with. Resonance is great, too. Like sound is being reflected by the neck. The thing even smells good. Get one while you can.

Comments: i love the Veleno style neck. It is easy to play and it's lighter than my TB1000S. i like it better than my TB actually. There is so much tone it's unbelievable. Sustain is incredible, the durability seems to withstand my violent playing and i have not found anything i don't like about it. the frets on the edge of the neck isn't as bad as iv'e read and for me it didn't take any getting used to the shape of the neck.
