Electrical :: Custom
The Electrical Custom is a wood and aluminum hybrid, which even though having a wooden body, still keeps with the all aluminum sound via the neck assembly being totally isolated from the body. Features ALCOA T6061 neck, Alder body, 3 ply pickguard, Gotoh bridge, Grover tuners, stainless steel frets and your choice of single coils or humbucker. These pickups are feature Alnico 5 steel based components, making a very bright and clear pickup. Available in a variety of custom body shapes.

Comments: Truly astounding instrument in every way, sounds & plays better than any Veleno or T Bean I've owned. There is a reason why this company is doing well when the rest are getting the crap pounded out of them.

Comments: I love my Electrical. It has ruined me for regular guitars. They just don't do it for me anymore. I have #106. It's amazing.

  Style of Music: Slightly rippled velour top coat with a near flat underbelly of harmonic nuisance...

Comments: Had heard many glowing reports on both Kevin and the guitars he was making... Contacted Kevin directly regarding having one made, ironically he was working on the numbers around the mid 40s when i got in touch. Ultimately it was not to be as funds wouldn't allow... fast forward 18 months and on a forum i frequent i see that there is one being offered for sale 250 miles from me, i contact the guy re spec, condition and price, all good except he has painted it white rather than the black in which it was supplied. Turns out to be #44 and the first Kevin has produced with a radiused finger board.

Fast forward to today... I've had the guitar for a a few months now and have played it at every available opportunity. It has a tone unlike any other guitar i have heard or that i own (Ricky 360, Tele Custon, LP John Sykes, Jaguar...) It has the purest clean tone but with the deft ability to provide an unparalleled "clean distortion" at the same time. The thin neck took minutes to get used to tho' swapping back to any others guitar including the Ricky makes that guitar feel as though you are holding a baseball bat. It is no too heavy but does want to dive head first to the ground at every opportunity but you get used to it. The build quality is exemplary as I have discovereed today when i shipped the body off to be re finnished in its intended black colour.

I can't praise this guitar highly enough and would encourage anyone who may be hesitating over purchasing one to "get over it" and take the plunge, i doubt you would regret it...

Comments: #98. white, tele style body with a custom wider neck than most electricals. single coil pickups and custom bridge. i can't say enough about this guitar. it is everything i wanted it to be when i ordered it. kevin does fantastic work.
i feel kind of stupid giving anything that i am reviewing all 10's but this guitar is really that good.
