We have found the FIRST aluminum neck guitar. It is called a "Burke" the forerunner to the Messenger. The Burke was patented in 1961, this one predates the patent by 6 months. This is what MusicCraft / Messenger used for their design. The Story and pics to come. : )

HI!
Do you mean the first aluminum neck spanish style guitar??? The reason I'm asking is because Rickenbacker made a lap steel from aluminum in the 30s..... Actually, that Frying pan they made was the first electric guitar, but I don't know if it was the first aluminum guitar?? Let's face it, that thing wasn't exactly a Travis Bean, but I guess that it technically is a guitar, right?
