Comments: I bought this bass never having seen one before. I played a Precision for 30 years and thought it might be something I'd whip out at a gig for a hoot. Boy was I wrong!!! I've been playing this one non stop since I held it in my arms the first time. It is flawless and the action is low & fast. Played through an Ampeg B25B stack, as legend has it, once made a patron throw up form an open E sustained ring. It's heavy but worth it's weight in gold.!!

Comments: The Kramer plant was a couple of mile away growing up, and I know many of the people who owned it and worked there.

I am glad I brought this beauty back home to NJ. The bass itself appears to have rarely been played, almost new-old stock. Even has the pickup rings!

The tone is one of a kind. It has a really cool quality if you dial the bridge pickup to all bass and the neck pickup to all treble. Just way cool.

Warning, this thing weighs, literally, a ton. If you are going to play it all nite, be ready! But it sustains like a piano. The action is the lowest I've ever been able to get.

I gave tone a 9 only because the original pickups are a little weak, and the A string just doesn't have as much power as the rest. I had Paul Unkert give it a once over and it didn't really improve there.

All in all, whether a lumie or not, it is one amazing bass. Never letting this one go.

Comments: I love this bass. It's beautiful, great tone and a great conversation piece. I recommend light strings on it, as the necks are sensitive to high tension and tend to bow with a heavier gauge. Pick-up placement not optimal for slap/funk.

Comments: This bass is fantastic!! It is beautiful but very heavy. I play a '74 precision on a regular basis, but purchased this beauty on a whim. Made of walnut & maple with an aluminum neck, it has two big humbuckers and sounds like a Rickenbacker on steroids on the hot pickup switch. The fingerboard is extremely fast and the sustain rings on forever. I've seen 650B's go for over a grand, but wouldn't sell mine for twice that. If you dont mind the weight, and are looking for that "sound" that eludes you, strap one on if you can.. You'll not want to put it down.
